After listening to RHA Members and other residents of our community, the RHA Board has adopted a resolution requesting that the RCSD and County of Orange amend the current street sweeping policies to eliminate the prohibition of all street parking on the two street sweeping days each month in Rossmoor.
While having our streets swept is an important part of both water conservation and minimizing the mosquito population, the current schedule no longer meets Rossmoor residents needs.
Instead, the Board suggests that the County adopt an odd/even side of the street or other sweeping policy that provides some relief for the residents who have more cars than will fit in their driveways/garages, require frequent home health care and other services, and a adopt a policy that better models other cities in the County.
If you support a change in the street sweeping policies in Rossmoor, please contact both the RCSD (562.430.3707) and Supervisor Steel’s office (714.834.3220) and let them know your opinion. The more Rossmoor residents that let the Supervisor know we need this to change, the better chance a change will be made.
